Is Face Brushing good for you?

Using a facial cleansing brush sounds a bit harsh if you haven’t used it yet, but the fact is that it has plenty of benefits and you’ll be amazed to know what it does for your skin.

Generally speaking, it’s important to use a facial brush with soft bristles. Always use soft, delicate strokes on your face and never pull or use force when brushing.

The Benefits are Endless

Here are a few of my favourites:

  • Smooths fine lines and brightens appearance
  • Reduces puffiness and dark circles
  • Tones and firms skin and improves skin tone
  • Gently exfoliates and stimulates cellular turnover

How to use it:

DECOLLETE – Brush towards your lymph area from shoulders inwards.

NECK – Brush upwards towards the chin and ears. Brush lightly in short strokes to help firm the skin.

CHIN – Use inverted U strokes on chin area.

CHEEKS – Make circular motions up and outwards and then back to where you started.

UPPER LIP – Start in the center and lightly brush outwards, to the left on your left side and from the middle to your right on the right side.

NOSE – Make small circular motions on your nose tip, then move lightly up your nose to the middle of brow area.

EYE AREA – I prefer to avoid the eye area as the skin around eyes is generally very thin.

FOREHEAD – Start in the middle move right on the right side and left on your left side.

You will find Facial Cleansing brushes at many stores who sells skincare products.
